Measure the distance from the back of the rear seats to the end of the boot floor. In hatchbacks and SUVs, also check where the boot lid or tailgate begins to curve inward.

2. Measure the Boot Height

Measure the distance from the boot floor to the lowest point of the tailgate, door or roof. Also take into account any low edges or other structures that could restrict the placement of the crate.

3. Check the Tailgate Sill Height

The standard Thule Allax fits cars with a tailgate sill height of up to 40 mm.

The Thule Allax Threshold model, designed for cars with a higher tailgate sill, accommodates the following maximum sill heights:

• XS: up to 170 mm
• S, M Compact, M and L Compact: up to 245 mm
