Thule Allax Dog Crate All-in-One Bundle

Thule Allax Dog Crate All-in-One Bundle

The Thule Allax Dog Crate All-in-One Bundle includes a crash-tested dog crate and practical accessories for safer, more organised car journeys with your dog. The bundle contains a Thule Allax dog crate, a silicone protective mat, a Standard bumper protector, a storage bag and two leash hooks. Together, these accessories help protect your dog and your vehicle while keeping travel essentials close at hand.

Crash-tested Thule Allax dog crate

The Thule Allax is a dog crate designed for car travel, helping protect both your dog and vehicle occupants. It has been tested at the Thule Test Center and is TÜV SÜD certified. Testing has assessed its performance in front and rear impact scenarios, as well as a simulated rollover situation.

The crate’s innovative crumple zone provides an additional 10–13 cm of space at the rear, depending on the model and depth adjustment. In a collision, this zone compresses to help absorb impact forces.

The adjustable-depth design helps the crate fit different vehicle boot spaces, while tension straps help keep it securely in place. The gas-assisted door opens and closes in a controlled manner, and the integrated lock adds security during travel.

Ventilation openings allow air to circulate and give your dog visibility of its surroundings. An escape hatch on the rear-seat side provides an alternative way to reach your dog when the boot opening is inaccessible.

Thule Allax dog crate sizes and dimensions

Choose the crate size based on your dog’s height at the withers and the dimensions of your vehicle’s boot. Size recommendations are a guide, as your dog’s individual build also affects the fit.

For example, a Miniature Schnauzer or Jack Russell Terrier may fit size XS, a Beagle or Cocker Spaniel size S, and a Border Collie or Australian Shepherd size M. A Labrador Retriever or Dalmatian may require a larger size. These are only examples, so measure your dog before choosing a crate.

Your dog should have enough room to sit, stand, turn around and lie down naturally. The shape and dimensions of your vehicle’s boot must also be taken into account.

How to choose the right crate size

1. Measure your dog’s height at the withers

Measure from the floor to the highest point of the shoulder blades. Compare the result with the size recommendations and consider your dog’s individual build.

2. Measure the boot depth

Measure from the back of the rear seats to the end of the boot floor. Also check where the tailgate begins to curve inward, as this may limit the space available for the crate.

3. Measure the boot height

Measure from the boot floor to the lowest point of the tailgate or roof. Check for any other structures that may restrict the crate’s height.

4. Check the tailgate threshold

The standard Thule Allax model is suitable for vehicles with a tailgate threshold up to 40 mm high. Separate threshold versions are available for vehicles with a higher threshold. Always check compatibility between your vehicle and the selected model before ordering.

Thule silicone protective mat

The included silicone protective mat provides a grippy surface inside the crate and helps reduce paw slippage when your dog moves around. Its insulating material makes the travel surface more comfortable and helps reduce contact with the cold boot floor.

Cutting guides on the underside make it easier to trim the mat to size using scissors.

Available mat sizes:

• Standard: 80 × 48.3 cm; weight 0.9 kg
• Wide: 110 × 58.3 cm; weight 1.4 kg
• Double: 79.5 × 83 cm; weight 1.8 kg

Thule Bumper Protector, Standard

The Thule Bumper Protector Standard helps protect your vehicle’s bumper from scratches and claw marks as your dog gets in and out of the car. Made from durable, water-resistant materials, it is a practical accessory for car journeys with your dog, particularly when used with a Thule Allax dog crate.

The protector is held in place by the weight of the crate and its plastic reinforcements. Attachment loops allow it to be secured to the crate’s carrying handles, for example. When not in use, it folds away for convenient storage and can also be used as a sunshade.

Specifications:

• Dimensions: 75 × 75 cm
• Weight: 1.3 kg
• Materials: PET and PP

Thule Allax storage bag

The Thule Allax Storage Bag helps keep your dog’s travel essentials organised. It attaches to the crate and provides space for items such as waste bags, treats and other small accessories. An external mesh pocket keeps frequently used items within easy reach.

The bag can also be used separately, thanks to its carry handle.

• Dimensions: 36 × 11 cm
• Weight: 0.4 kg

Thule dog crate leash hooks

The two included Thule Dog Crate Leash Hooks provide a convenient place to hang your dog’s lead and collar. The supplied adapter allows the hooks to be attached at different positions along the sides of a compatible crate.

• 2 leash hooks
• Adapter included for attachment
